DMCA Copyright Policy

CISO Network Inc. respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its members to do the same. This policy describes our procedures for responding to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512 ("DMCA").

Last updated: August 25, 2026

CISO Network qualifies as a service provider under 17 U.S.C. §512(c) and maintains this policy to preserve its safe harbor protections. We respond expeditiously to valid takedown notices and have adopted a repeat-infringer termination policy.

Designated Copyright Agent

To submit a DMCA takedown notice or counter-notification, contact our designated agent:

CISO Network Inc. — Copyright Agent

Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice

We have also registered our designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office as required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(2). Notices sent to addresses other than the above may not receive a timely response.

Submitting a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on CISO Network infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing all six of the following elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):

  1. 1

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

  2. 2

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list is sufficient.

  3. 3

Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (e.g., a direct URL to the content).

  4. 4

Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.

  5. 5

A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

  6. 6

A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Submitting a false or bad-faith DMCA notice may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), including damages, attorneys' fees, and costs.

Our Response Process

Receipt

We acknowledge valid notices within 2 business days.

Removal

We will expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the member who posted it.

Repeat infringers

Members who receive multiple valid takedown notices are subject to account suspension or permanent termination under our repeat-infringer policy.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent containing the following under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3):

  1. 1

    Your physical or electronic signature.

  2. 2

Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.

  3. 3

A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

  4. 4

Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which CISO Network may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original takedown notice.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.

Member Content Policy

By posting content to CISO Network — including in the member feed, forum, exchange, or incident debriefs — you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to that content and that it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights. Posting copyrighted material without authorization violates our Code of Conduct and Terms of Service and may result in content removal and account termination.
