ROLE OVERVIEW

Mayo Clinic is searching for a CISO to lead cybersecurity for one of the world's most respected healthcare institutions. The CISO will protect patient data for 1.3 million annual patients, secure cutting-edge medical research, and lead security for Mayo Clinic's growing digital health and AI initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead enterprise cybersecurity strategy for a $17B integrated health system
Protect patient data for 1.3 million annual patients across 20+ locations
Oversee security for Mayo Clinic's AI platform and digital health innovation programs
Manage HIPAA, HITRUST, and Joint Commission cybersecurity compliance
Lead medical device security program for 50,000+ connected medical devices
Partner with research leadership on security for NIH-funded clinical research programs

REQUIREMENTS

12+ years of cybersecurity experience with healthcare or academic medical center background
Prior CISO experience at a health system, academic medical center, or large hospital
Deep knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and healthcare cybersecurity frameworks
Experience securing medical devices and clinical IoT environments
Strong academic and research community engagement skills
CISSP, HCISPP, or equivalent certification required
